   Huang Youwei, born in 1965 in Yueyang, Hunan. He is a member of the China Artists Association. Signed artist of Hong Kong Yunfeng Art Gallery, assistant professor of advanced watercolor painting class of Fine Arts Academy of Tsinghua University, auditorium professor of Hunan Xiangnan University.

 In 1999, he established his personal watercolor studio in Beijing to research and create Chinese neo-watercolor paintings. His works have created their own unique style according to themes such as: Beijing Hutons, mountains, flowers, wild grass, valleys and streams. They are highly regarded as one of China’s neo-realist watercolor works in the media on behalf of the artist.

    His works have participated in the Chinese Youth Watercolor Painting Exhibition, the first China Watercolor Art Exhibition, the 11th National Art Exhibition, the Snow Plateau Chinese Painting Exhibition, the Inspiration Plateau Chinese Painting Exhibition, the Sunshine Xinjiang Sketching Exhibition, and the art commemorating the 60th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet. Works exhibition, Tianshan North and South Chinese Art Exhibition. His works participated in the “Chinese Painting Exhibition” in Rome and Milan, Italy. Successfully held several personal watercolor exhibitions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and other places.

   In June 2010, he was invited to participate in a large-scale sketching group in Xinjiang organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Chinese Artists Association, and the Xinjiang Autonomous Region. In December, he was invited to participate in the National Young Artists Advanced Study Class organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Artists Association. In April 2012, he was invited to participate in the “Great Sichuan—National Art Works Invitation Exhibition” organized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Chinese Artists Association, and the Sichuan Provincial Government.

    Mr. Huang Youwei’s watercolor works are widely collected by the British Royal Family, the United Nations, embassies of various countries, private collectors, Toshiba, Panasonic, and other art institutions all over the world.

China Central TV, Beijing Television, “China Daily”, “China Today” English version, “Beijing Evening News”, “Weekend Pictorial”, “Beijing Monthly News”, “Beijing Weekend” English version, “International Aviation News”, “Cultural Weekend”  interviewed and reported on him.

   His works have been published in various art journals.
